PROP  SAVER  ‘O’ RING  REPLACEMENT

Are you tired of having to pay $ .50 -$1.00 each at the local hardware store for prop saver ‘O’ Rings to use on your foamy? Here’s an inexpensive way to get all the rubber rings you’ll ever want or need. Go to your nearest Pharmaceutical supply house (like Watkens) and purchase a foot or two of 5/8” or 3/4” outside diameter (get  some of both sizes) surgical tubing for about $1.00 - $2.00 a foot. They might even GIVE you a short piece if they one lying around.

At home, you can cut as many as you want or need - you can make some thicker that others to vary the tension.

There are several ways to cut them. I like to use a SHARP pair of tin snips, but a single edge razor blade or X-Acto  knife works very well too. Put a tiny dab of Vaseline with a “Q”-tip on the edge(s) to help prevent so much drag.  Make the cuts quick and clean.

Don't want to cut your own
WMParkflyers has the ultimate prop saver bands. We have been searching for a long time for just the right material to make these bands and persistence has paid off.

We found a special military grade of  latex tubing that really fits the bill.
Go ahead and stretch it, bend it, twist it, compress it—this tubing willspring back to its original shape!

Don't be grounded because you cant keep your prop on!
